I was thinking that an appropriate post today would be about the coffee bar in Maine that has taken on a new gimmick in that their servers are all topless.  They had 150 apply for 10 positions in this coffee bar, 200 customers the first day, and CNN was on location to report.  Not to mention the video about the shop on YouTube has had more than 60,000 views in 3 short days… how can Riverview get that many people to watch our video?!

But, after reading today’s TH online today, I found something a whole lot better.

There was an article in the paper about the anti bullying teachings of Jim Jelinske in one of the Dubuque schools lately.  If interested, check out this link to watch Jim in action:

As you can see, Jim is the truest of example of how easily violence can be prevented.  In 40 minutes time he was able to convice a classroom full of 1st graders that bullying is not acceptable, while empowering them to challenge bullying when it occurs.  He has taught something to a group of children that will be forever changed on this topic and will hopefully carry this important lesson with them for the rest of their lives.  I feel privledged to know Jim personally and have had many discussions with him about how we will realize a community free of violence.  He really does “get it.”

Awesome work Jim!
